“Scientific Documentation of Bastions in Famagusta City Walls"- Workshop, 7-12 May,2019

The Scientific Documentation Project has included a workshop, organized by MS in CHES Program, in collaboration with NGOs (Mağusa İnsiyatifi, MASDER) and governmental bodies (Department of Antiquities, Famagusta Municipality). Besides the CHES Program students, students enrolled in other graduate programmes have also participated in this workshop (14 master and PhD Students). Workshop leaders have been Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ege Uluca Tümer (EMU, Cultural Heritage Studies Master Program Coordinator), Prof. Dr. Nicolas Faucherre (Aix-Marseille University), and Prof.Dr. Beser Oktay Vehbi (EMU, Cultural Heritage Studies Master Program) and Res. Assist. Architect Deniz Özdiren has assisted the workshop. Outcomes of the workshop have been reported and presented to related governmental institutes and stakeholders on December 24, 2019 in Nicosia and December 28, 2019 in Famagusta.

 

HERITAGE ISTANBUL, Restoration, Archaeology, Museum Technologies Fair & Conferences, April 11-13, 2019

    Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ege Uluca Tümer (EMU, Cultural Heritage Studies Master Program Coordinator) has attended the fair and conference on behalf of the CHES Master Program and also presented a lecture.
